ABSTRACT

The study looked into the Campus Journalism of Kalinga State University from January to May 2018. It specifically answered the questions on the level of attainment of the aims and purposes of student publication of Kalinga State University; level of interest on the sections of the school paper; and degree of satisfaction on the benefits being enjoyed in Journalism. It adopted the descriptive method which the student-respondents were taken through stratified random sampling. Average weighted mean and ANOVA-Analysis of Variance were the other statistical tools used. The level of attainment of the aims and purposes of student publication got a total weighted average mean of 2.26 interpreted as moderately attained. The level of interest on the sections of the school paper of student publication of Kalinga State University got a total average weighted mean of 2.33 interpreted as moderately interested; The degree of satisfaction on the benefits being enjoyed in Journalism got a total weighted average mean of 2.13 interpreted as moderately benefited.

The total average weighted mean of 2.28 shows that the problems encountered were moderately serious as to the degree of seriousness of the problems encountered by the students and adviser in campus journalism.
